This is National Farmers Market Week and a reminder that I need to go to our local farmers' market to pick up some fresh produce!
So why go to a farmer's market?
Get the freshest produce, you buy fruits or vegetables that have been just picked from your local farmer!
You can introduce children to a new fruit or vegetable in a lively, family friendly environment. Often the farmer is right there to answer questions!
Shopping at farmers markets supports your local farmers and keeps the money you spend closer to your neighborhood.
Farmers can teach your child about new ways to cook and eat the produce they are selling.
