You may not be aware of this but all our recipes have been converted to be really cooking with kids friendly! What does this mean? It means that we now have steps in our recipes that tell you what is for grown-ups and what steps in the recipes that children can do.
We did this after getting this request from you. We talk about how important it is for children to come into the kitchen and help you cook. We have resources that help you be safe in the kitchen with kids. We have guidelines that help you determine what a child can do based on age. And now when you go to look at a healthy recipe on the website, you will find that the recipes are written with kids in mind. They tell you what steps a child can do alone and what steps you should do together.
Now please keep in mind that age maturity and experience varies and always use your judgment when making a final determination on what steps children who are helping you can and can't do. Our steps are meant to serve as guidelines and not hard and fast rules.
We want to make it easy for you to cook with kids and this is one more step in doing just that.
