Kids join First Lady Michelle Obama For State Dinner

Congratulations to all the kids who participated in the Kids' State Dinner with Michelle Obama.
Can you imagine how exciting it was for those children who won the contest to be flown to Washington DC and have a dinner at the White House.
The children who participated in the contest were between 8 and 12 years of age. Fifty-four winners, one from each of the 50 states, plus DC, Puerto Rico and US territories were chosen. There were 1200 entries in the contest.
I love the video and 100% support the great work that our First Lady is doing for children. She is making a huge impact by shedding important spotlight on this problem. I love her positive approach to get kids excited about healthy eating.
Interactive play is the key: cooking, gardening, shopping is all part of getting kids involved with food in a positive way.
Younger kids may not be able to participate in cooking class but we can still introduce them to the fun of cooking. Chef Solus helps children see how much fun it is to cook in our coloring pages.

Snack ideas that kids can make. Some children may need more supervision and help depending on their age. Great healthy snacks for home, classroom, parties, afterschool events that kids will love!
