I can't believe how quickly December has come!
We just finished putting up our Christmas tree last night and now the house feels festive. My daughter is grown now but putting up the tree brings back so many memories of wonderful family times.
We have a big family and cooking our traditional recipes is very much part of our celebration. I always loved having my kids in the kitchen with me while I cooked. I loved their company most of all and it was a good time to chat about their lives and hear their perspectives on what was most important to them.
It was also a good time to teach them to cook and how to make meals with healthy foods. There are so many studies showing the benefits of cooking and kids.
During this holiday season, I really encourage you to take time to bring your little ones into the kitchen to help you. There are so many simple things they can do. I know that it may take a little longer but it is so worth it.
Talk to your children about how important it is to have their help during this holiday season.
