It is the beginning of the year and one of the top New Year's resolutions will be losing weight. We all probably put on a few extra pounds this holiday season where stress is higher, favorite foods are abundant and exercise is non-existant!
Sometimes, a reality shock of facts can be just the added motivation you need to stick to your health goals. Your goals are so important for so many reasons.
First, kids need healthy parents.
Kids are looking to you as their role model and guide. So setting and keeping your healthy goals teaches kids how important it is to be healthy by changing lifestyle habits but it is also an example of "finishing your commitments", motivation and drive.
Working together as a family to change habits is a great way to have good discussions about the choices that you make and how to improve them. Please bring the kids into your healthy goals plans and set one for the family to work on together, you will be so glad that you did.
