Back To School Conversations - What's Important to Kids and Parents

Posted on Aug 30, 2013 by Maggie LaBarbera

With back to school time, I thought this infographic was pretty interesting.

Parent's #1 Concern was:
  • Teachers/Education 34%
  • Grades 23%
  • Bullying 135
The 3 Topics Kids Talked to their parents about before going back to school:
  • grades
  • making friends
  • bullying

Getting kids ready for school means having meaningful conversations about the concerns that parents and children have.  Talking helps build trusting relationships so that if children do encounter problems, they will be more willing to tell their parents.

You can use our free lunchnotes to send a loving, supportive message to them and promote healthy foods!
