Put peanut butter, oats and honey together and what do you get? A nutritious dessert that doubles as a jolly snowman! Kids will be delighted as they shape the dough with their hands.
Directions
Adults: Pour the oats into a food processor and pulse until they have a coarse texture, but are not yet powdery. Put the powdered sugar in a small, shallow dish.
Together: Mix the ground oats, flour, peanut butter and honey together in a medium bowl until the mixture forms a dough. Add a few teaspoons of water, if needed to achieve a dough-like consistency.
Kids: Dampen your hands slightly at the sink. Roll the dough onto a cutting board into a long snake shape.
Adults: Cut the dough snake into 12 equal pieces.
Kids: Roll each piece of dough into a ball shape. Roll the balls in powdered sugar until they’re coated and refrigerate until chilled. Stack 3 balls on top of each other to make a snowman. Repeat the snowman build until you are out of dough balls.
Together: Decorate the top ball of each snowman using currants as eyes and cranberries as mouths. On the middle ball, carefully add a peanut butter tie to each snowman and enjoy!
