A fun meal to eat during a nice day after a day full of activities.
Ingredients
Lean ground turkey 1 pound
Chopped onion ½ cup
Garlic, minced 1 clove
Ketchup ¼ cup
4 whole wheat buns
4 lettuce leaves
4 slices tomato
4 thin slices onion
Black pepper ¼ teaspoon
Directions
Adults: Preheat BBQ
Kids: In a medium sized bowl combine turkey, onion, garlic, ketchup and pepper.
Together: Evenly divide turkey mixture into 4 burgers.
Adults: Grill turkey burgers 5 to 6 minutes per side making sure turkey is not pink in the center.
Together: To serve, place each turkey burger on bottom half of whole wheat bun and top with lettuce, tomato, onion and top half of bun.
Adults: *Cut tomato and onion into slices.
